Zimbra Email and Calendar Support



Zimbra Collaboration Suite

Cal Poly employees and students moved to Zimbra email service in September 2008. The Zimbra Calendar went live on April 18, 2009. These new services, based on the Zimbra Collaboration Suite, are expected to reduce costs and improve reliability while adding collaboration tools and increasing storage for users. Information Technology Services worked with user groups across campus to evaluate and test alternatives.

Zimbra allows easy sharing of information among a user's email, calendar, and contact lists by using Zimbra's web client, and supported desktop clients such as Microsoft Office and Apple Mail. Zimbra can also be accessed from a wide range of other desktop clients and mobile devices.
